The reason I bring this up is because it used to take me 15-20 minutes to get to work but now that I moved it takes nearly an hour to and from work and that is one pain in the ass drive

14-18 minutes

but when i use to commute to the Pleasonton/Dublin area it would take 2 and a half hour round trip........

so i said fuck it and looked for a job in the valley, and i'm loving it. fuck the altamont commute. But i learned alot of backroads and shortcuts in livermoore, pleasonton, dublin, san ramon, castro valley, hayward and surrounding areas, so it was a nice experience while it lasted.

i don't get how people can commute an hour and a half just to get to work, and do it for the rest of their lives. I give them props 'cause i know my father-in-law commutes almost from modesto to Fremont every single day and the guy gets up at 3 a.m. just to start work at 6 a.m. I could never do it no matter what kind of money they offer me, but different strokes for different folks.........

3-5 minutes driving....it would be like 20-25 if I walked it, I think. Luckily I live in a smaller sized college town though. A few summers ago it took an hour to get to work, and an hour and a half in rush hour to get back, after a 10+ hour work day.
