Lynch has came along way as an artist. Both Lyrically and production wise.As for this album I think it was very well put together. Is it a classic? No. Is it a disappointment? No. As for comparing it to SOTS or Loaded I dont think it's worth making a comparison to those 2 albums. Nothing he will do will top those 2 albums. Because that's where he developed his niche. That's what made him the lynch that we all knew and love because we knew him for doing the sicc shit and nothing else.Lynch has been in 3 different mind states when he did all three of his recent albums. SOTS he was angry and drunk (after the lost of q-ball),loaded he was high than a muthafucka and experimenting with some new shit, and this album Lynch by Inch was full of emotion and sadness (after losing his mother and all the BS he went through with Blackamrket). I like this album based on the fact that I now have a lynch album to listen to when I'm angry about something (SOTS),one to listen to when I get high (loaded),and one to listen to when Im reflecting on some deep shit (LBI) and more than anything else he kept it pretty real on this album in terms of subject matter so he maybe trying to expand fan base a little bit more. Which you cant knock the man for doing. In my honest opinion this is the only lynch album I could play in front of my friends who listen mostly to mainstream music without them thinking I'm crazy for listening to him. Cuz I know the ripgut shit certainly wasn't for everyone. I will state this opinion before I finish though he didn't leave his hardcore fans out becuase I think "My mind aint right" maybe one of his best songs ever. And that's certainly reminiscent of the sicc shit we all love lynch for. As long as you listen to this album with an open mind and remember this album wasn't meant to be loaded or SOTS, I think you will like it.
