I always wondered why somebody would invest so much time and money into some of these websites if they arent selling anything.

Look at myspace, that guy gets hella money from his site but he's not selling anything and hardly see advertising on there unless it's people who use it.

THE SAME WAY EVERY FORM OF MEDIA MAKES MONEY.......

SUBSCRIPTIONS AND/OR ADVERTISING (or sales, like the Sicc Shop--even though they send out broken shit all the time).

It's not that fucking hard to grasp.

Everybody charges for something. The Siccness charges like $150 for a full advertising package (I did an ad campaign and used the Siccness as a source of advertisement)...

Myspace...that's obvious.

Raptalk...they sell ads (or did).

Nothing is completely free.

bigbosstalk said:
u figure they do 50k job postings a day for example, they charge 25 per posting

thats $1,250,000 a day
That's some crazy shit right there. The more users hitting the site the more buisness' will want to fuck with it.

I'm thinking about making a web site now....lol

all those ads really arent shit compared to what google will offer you if you have a great site idea that no one has thought of, that will be in high demand

fuck selling ads for 50k or even 100k....... if I was craigslist or myspace, wikipedia shit like that, I would just directly sell the site to google for a billion dollars haha shit
