The New York Daily News wants to know if Jay-Z and Damon Dash are beefin'. The rapper is said to be so angry at the hip-hop mogul that he's talking about leaving Dash's Roc-A-Fella Records. The trouble is said to have started last month, when Jay-Z was chilling in St.-Tropez. "Jay-Z wasn't happy that Damon signed [rapper] Cam'ron," an insider told the Daily News. "He was doubly unhappy when Damon made him the vice president of the company." Making matters worse, say insiders, Damon replaced label staffers loyal to Jay with some handpicked by Cam'ron. In a recent Source magazine article, Dash shared that sometimes the pair don't agree, "We're friends. Friends argue with each other every week. We might not agree about everything. We might get into it, but we don't get into it too heavy. There has never been anything where we've gotten into a major, major beef. Nothing's ever jeopardized our friendship. Friends argue. Businesspeople argue. We ain't got too much to be mad about. We both got money. We had a dream, we talked about it, we made it happen. You just can't be upset."

DMX and members of Rage Against The Machine have collaborated on two songs for forthcoming soundtrack albums. "Here I Come" was recorded for the soundtrack to Cradle 2 The Grave, which stars DMX alongside actor/martial artist Jet Li. The other song, "We Gonna Get It Right," is slated for the soundtrack to MTV's Jackass The Movie. DMX has also expressed interest in working with Sade, who, according to his publicist, he "adores." While nothing has been planned yet, he hopes to make overtures to the Nigerian-born British singer. DMX's video for "Who We Be" is nominated for best rap video at the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards at the end of this month.
