HELP WITH CUBASE??

I just got cubase and i cant get it to playback my audio from it, what setting do i need to change? the only way i can hear it is by mixing the file down then opening it through wmv, so can someone help me by getting the playback to work please? thanks

I'm not in front of cubase right now, but you need to go to the preference window within the program and make sure your audio device/interface is selected. Also, you may need to click on the monitor icons (those orange icons or speakers) depending on how you have everything routed. I'm goin off teh top of my dome, i haven't used cubase in a bit and like I said I'm not in front of it.
