You can only connect one at a time. Disconnect the other one to connect with this one. If you want both on at once you gotta hook up to a router in the other room or vice versa.

You'll hook up the router to the wall, then your computers to the router. That's the only way both can be connected at once.

He's right man, unless the modems are connected on two different phone numbers, you can't have both of them on at the same time. You need a wireless router, and the hardware on the 2nd computer to connect to a wireless router.

Ok, get a wireless router unless you want to pop holes in your walls and run 2 million ft. of ethernet cable. Anyways get your router (wireless prefered) and run your exsisting ethernet cable from your modem into the "internet" port on the back of the router. Now if you are going to hardwire everything just run cables from your 2 computers into the ehternet ports on the back of the router. If you want wireless, get a wirelss adapter for each computer thats not near the router ( other room, across the house, etc.) I like the USB adapters for desktops because you can move them around and you don't have to physically install them. That's the hard part ( to some ). Get there, fallow the directions on the disc you get, then you should be online. If you can't do this shit, get a friend or family member, resort last to electronic store installers because it will run you a few hundred for them to do this process, and they usually only do wireless anyway.

Ive always used Linksys products without any problems. I've heard the DLink line is decent for the prices which are dirt cheap retail wise. Netgear is also good shit.
