Many years ago Rappin 4Tay stole an idea of mine, I learned that lesson the hard way. I thought he was cool peeps but I was young in the game and when I heard the track I wasn't impressed.
Dru Down stole the concept for Pimp Of the Year from a crew I was in back in the early 90's. We had a song called Mack On as the group M.O.B.

Before the song This is How We Do It came out I was sitting down talking to Anthony Forte at One Market Plaza in the lobby where his lawyer was working at and I thought we were just chopping it up like homies because we have had some history in the past from Fillmore. So I'm telling him that I'm going to use the Childrens' Story beat and name a track, "I'll Do Years If I Pull This Trigga". On his album that came out next he used my concept and at the end of the song he used my title too.
The thing with Dru Down (which I don't believe was his fault) we had sent our song to Chris Hicks as a demo track and the chorus was, "Mack........mack onnnn" On Pimp of The Year the chorus is "Pimp.....pimp onnnn" The beats were different but the BPM's and concept were the same.
