The two best ones from the 'nineties are PLAYAZ N' THA GAME (1993) and DWELLIN' IN THA LABB (1995)...both are still must-haves...if you even THINK you care about Bay Area Rap, you need both these CDs in your collection!

Of his more recent stuff, his newest CD (PROJECT POETRY) is the best, because it features the most tracks with just JT rapping...SOMETHING CRUCIAL (2000) and HUSTLE RELENTLESS (2002) are well worth picking up, too, but they feature more guest appearances (i.e. Killa Tay, Steady Mobbin', Ray Luv, Big Rich, Young Noble, etc.), which sometimes causes JT to sound more like a guest than as the main star on his own CDs! Also, the production on SOMETHING CRUCIAL is pretty synth-heavy on some tracks (which may be good or bad depending on your tastes). It's still all good, though...

PEACE!
