With the execution of Oscar Grant just months ago, the City of Oakland once again finds itself embattled with another Police vs. People episode. On Saturday afternoon four Oakland Police officers were killed by a 26-year-old man, who was later killed himself.

Surprisingly (but not really) there hasn’t been a lot (if any) nationwide coverage of this violent incident that many fear will lead to an eventual war between the Oakland Police and the citizens. You can however read up on the incident on BBC’s UK-based website.

For many, the only source for news and perspective on this incident has been Oakland rapper Mistah F.A.B.’s Twitter page where he urged people to stay inside and chill out for a while until the streets settled down.

Blowing it way out of proportion.

FAB even said in his twitter that not all cops are bad that some just abuse their power.

So for this to surface is just stupid, they took the tweets that make it seem like Oakland is gonna retaliate or something.

I've been reading Fabs Twitter, and I heard his interview with Davey D. He really does need to be careful about putting himself out there as an "Oakland Spokesman." With that comes a lot of responsibility. Nobody needs FAB to declare war on the OPD on behalf of black people in Oakland. We don't need anymore killing.
