just got the mybook external hard drive, can i dump all my data/music into it whatevers on my hard drive now and restore my computer without it being swiped and erased??

and what if i unplug it from my wall or comp, will i lose whats on it?

when you unplug or turn it off for any reason just make sure no files that are stored on the external HD are in use...

nah if its unplugged you wont loose nothing, but when you restore you comp to be safe just unplug the usb or firewire plug wichever type you got so when you delete the drive you dont accidently delete both
