when u recording what type of enviornment do u gotta be in?

...you know do u gotta be fucked up or sober? just a pen and a pad, do u just come off top or come with pre-written shit? Gotta have certain ppl there to make it work? I mean wat is it? Everybody got a different style but i kno every time i been in the studio wit hella niggaz spittin we was on one

I never record intoxicated, every word I spit has to have the right emotion behind it, while intoxicated I can't seem to do that without slurring my speech or stumbling over my words. But I can have a glass of Alize beforehand and shit comes out better. I gotta have my boys around me, along with some drank and girls for after the session!! I usually take the beat home and write to it, while I'm drunk, and lately that has been working like no other...but sometimes when we're in a pinch we write while we're in the studio!!

Actually, yea...thats when I get some of my best shit recorded, when I write something IN the studio. Reason being, it's fresh in my head, all the emotion is still there, it's not like it's something I thought of a week before, the lyrics just went from brain to paper to mic in the same day. Our sessions are never done until everything is the way I want it anyhow, I give a fuck if it's a 2 hour session or a 13 hour session. I NEVER go into the studio, write something there, drop it and leave it at that...I sit and practice the verse for a good hour or 2 before I even step into the booth!!
