how long your favorite artist took to record your favorite track?
we all know, no one's perfect, but in this rap game, time is money. You got your One Take Jake's then you got your 25 Try Mike....following me?....I've heard a couple stories of well known rappers around the bay being the 25 Try Mike...just curious to see if you ever wondered how long that track took to record and finalize.....ever since I've been recording I've learned that the best way to record is NOT reading your lyrics off a paper, but have them memorized, that way you can add more emotion to the deliver, rather than spending time trying to read and flow at the same time....
what do you guys think of rappers/m.c's who get "punched" in, when they can't do they whole verse all at once?
I heard Mr. Kee writes/comes up with his verses all in his head, doesn't use pen and paper.....and I've heard of cats who record, for example 2 bars, stop, then go back and get punched in after those two, and do two more...and so on....
I'd like to be in a studio session with Mr. Kee or E-40 and see how they drop they shit.....
