If you thought being a UFC fan was expensive before, it’s about to cost even more.

Newsday reported on Wednesday that ESPN is increasing the price of UFC pay-per-views on streaming service ESPN+ by $5, from $69.99 to $74.99. The price hike is expected to begin with UFC 270 on Jan. 22.

On top of the increase for individual pay-per-views, the ESPN+ pay-per-view package – which includes one pay-per-view event and an annual subscription – also is going up from $89.98 to $99.98.

The new pay-per-view price marks the third time that ESPN increased prices as UFC fans have been hit with a gradually steep hike since ESPN became the exclusive home of UFC pay-per-views in April 2019. After starting out at $59.99, UFC pay-per-view prices were raised to $64.99 at the beginning of 2020 then $69.99 at the beginning of 2021.

$74.99 is the highest regular price ever for UFC pay-per-views

The pay-per-view increase comes after a 2021 in which UFC president Dana White boasted of the promotion setting a record for pay-per-view buys in a single year with approximately 8.6 million.

UFC 270 is the promotion’s first pay-per-view of 2022 and features two title fights. UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou and interim champ Ciryl Gane will unify the title in the main event, while flyweight champ Brandon Moreno puts his belt on the line in a trilogy with former champ Deiveson Figueiredo
