Errelevent and Equivalent Exchange present
Destroy and Rebuild Vol. 1
Errelevant will not disappoint his current fans and will definitely gain new ones with his superior lyricism, worplay and and vocabulary.
This albums production overall is amazing..every beat strikes deep and hard with every bass kick. While the lyrics show a touch of hip hop, the production is definitely west coast. Errelevent rides each beat without missing a step. While showcasing the ability to rap to several different tempos and beat styles.
Definitely an unbeat album overall, motivation music....an album like this is the type you play when you got shit to do and you gotta stay moving.
The cover art reflects the dismal scene of bay area rap and the economy in general. With the music industry being harder and harder to turn a profit in, and more people illegally bootlegging albums for download instead of buying..we see more and more local and nationwide store going out of business.
The album give an positive outlook through the eyes of Errelevent, a San Francisco based rapper who has performed with Paul Wall, Tech N9ne, Too $hort, and more. Errelevent has al been featured and interviews in issues of Murder Dog Magazine, Stash Magazine, and Ozone Magazine
The tracks on the album do seem to be more uptempo and party-ish, with a slight bit of hyphy blended in. The lyrical content though covers many subjects, spoken from the heart with incredibal vernacular
Stand out Tracks...
"When its on" featuring Jose Santana (10sion) is among one of many stand out tracks on the album, discussing the hard times in the music games and keeping ya head up... While "pull up to the front" is a catchy party track featuring West oakland's very own J-Stalin. While the features are minimal, Errelevent manages to hold his own on every track with a feature. Nowadays a lot of rap cats release decent albums but are severely outshined by their features, Errelevent raises the bar in this sense and I hope more rap artists follow this path. Bar None also is on " All Right " both of these cats drive and skill is displayed in this song. "What its come to" lets you into the mind of Errelevent, with a slight darker nature digging deep into the search for life purpose...the beat is unforgetaable and the lyrics heartfelt. "Polished" feat M. Brando and Pablo Fetti is a headbobber of a track featuring 3 different points of view over a dope beat.
The album overall gives an impressive display of Errelevent's lyrical skills in the booth, Equivalent Exchange's amazinglu upbeat production style and the combination of these two remarkably fused together for this heated release. If you are tired of rappers that all sound the same, then download this album.....
Wait....? download? Yes, thats right...I forgot to mention, this album is free for download at www.spitzunlimited.com
