December 17, 2005 -- Hip-hop radio host Ed Lover was back on the air yesterday after being arraigned on charges he clocked a 26-year-old woman in the face at a Manhattan nightclub.
Lover, whose real name is James Roberts, was freed on $1,000 bail following his Thursday-night arraignment on assault and harassment charges.
Lover's lawyer, Michael Berger, predicted his client would be exonerated.
"His actions were totally justified. He did nothing wrong," Berger said.
"Once the facts come out, I'm sure people will see that."
The incident happened at about 1:30 am
