Thats fine and dandy, but 6 and even 4 core processors are FAR ahead of anything you and I need them for. Anything above 2 cores are ONLY needed in server environments where data is constantly being processed.
What you NEED to look for is RAM speed and amount (nothing over 4GB's will make a difference in every day applications), the speed/bus speed of the CPU and the chipset being utilized by the motherboard.
