Does anyone here have any knowledge of obtaining a distribution deal?

Is bayside a good distributor. I have had mixed reviews of people that deal with bayside.

Peep out this article that I have posted in my forum (Street Level Records).....it will answer alot of questions for you. There are various other articles as well.....so feel free to feed your brain.

About Bayside......it's safe to say that you're not going to get a deal from them. They just got done cleaning house and dropped a shitload of labels (about 50 I believe) from their roster. Times are hard for everybody in the business right now.

Also....I don't know what your resume is like.....but if you're trying to put out your first CD......you might as well forget about distribution all together. Distributors ain't fuckin' with cats who are just puttin' out there first album.......they're gonna tell you to go sell 1,000 copies on your own via consignment (so there is documented proof....out the trunk ain't gonna cut it) first before they even THINK about givin' you a deal.
