Take a look at a map, and guide yourself to the city of Islamabad, Pakistan, which is relatively close to Afghanistan in a time sense. Now, it being over 13 hours ahead, the U.S. being in daylight savings time, and the footage being shown at 3ish, means that it would have had to be live footage from about 14 hours in advance, or 5am. I'm not an expert on Afghanistani climate, but its quite possible that it was light outside there at 5-5:30 am.
