Kid Hit By Police Car

LAS VEGAS (AP) --

A 12-year-old on a bicycle has been hurt in a crash involving a Las Vegas police detective. A police spokesman says the child was crossing Oakey Boulevard at Arville Street before being hit just after seven A-M.

The bicycle ended up wedged beneath the front bumper of the white unmarked police car. Initial reports were that the child was taken to University Medical Center with bruises and a cut on the head.
