Miami (OH) at Central Michigan

The MAC championship game. CMU is trying to make it 2 in a row.

Tulsa at UCF

C-USA CG. UCF is now, record wise, tied with USF and UF as the best university in the state of Florida. If they beat Tulsa, they would be, again, record wise, the best team in Florida. Oh, how times have changed.

#6 Virginia Tech at #11 Boston College

ACCCG. This is a rematch of a month ago when these two teams clashed. VT absolutely stifled BC for 58 minutes, pitching a shutout. Then, Matt Ryan came alive and scored 2 TD’s to ice the game. This time, VT has seemed to have gotten their offense on track and are using a two QB rotation only because they WANT to.

Florida Atlantic at Troy

Sun Belt championship is on the line for this game. Troy has played a tough OOC schedule, losing to all the SEC teams it faced, including Florida.

UCLA at #8 USC

The battle for the Victory Bell is at stake in this rivalry game. This rivalry is the only one that pits two schools from major cities against one another. Although USC sees Notre Dame as their major rival, this one is no slouch. UCLS shocked USC last year to solidify USC’s absence in the NC game. A win from either side and a loss from ASU will muddle the Pac-10 championship.

Oregon State at #17 Oregon

The Civil War is a heated rivalry between these two schools. It is one of the oldest in the nation, dating back to 1894.OSU won last year, and look to beat a heavily injured Duck team who is down to their 4th and 5th string QB’s, no starting WR’s, and an ailing Jonathon Stewart with the 2nd string RB out as well. Since Dennis Dixon was injured, the Ducks have not scored in 7 quarters. This game also has Pac-10 implications, as a win from either team could make things cloudy for the champ of the conference.

California at Stanford

Dubbed “The Big Game”, these to Nor Cal schools have had some fantastic games, including one of the most amazing in college football history. “The Play” is sometimes labeled as the most amazing play in college football history, where Cal took the last kickoff of the game, lateraled the ball five times, and scored, all the while running into the Stanford band who pre-maturely came onto the field to celebrate a Stanford victory.

Pittsburgh at #2 West Virginia
Backyard Brawl goes down
this week, which be the 100th meeting between the two schools. Pitt leads the all-time series, but WVU has won 15 of 23 since 1983. This game has more than bragging rights on the line, as a WVU win may very well propel them into the NC game.

#9 Oklahoma at #1 Missouri

The Big 12 CG pits these two teams against one another with NC implication on the line. Mizzou wins, they are in the NC game. Oklahoma wins, and it makes the picture, once again, very muddled. UO won the first meeting between the two 41-31. Bradford is going to start and has set a freshman record for TD’s passes in a season, Chase Daniels is now in the Heisman race and could propel himself further with a great performance.

Arizona at #13 Arizona State

The oldest traveling trophy in college football, the Territorial Cup, is played for in the “Duel in the Desert”. ASU wins, they are the Pac-10 champs and get an automatic BCS bid to the Rose Bowl. They lose, and all kind of scenarios go into place for the Pac-10 championship, with 4 other teams involved.

Washington at #12 Hawaii

Simple: Hawaii wins and they are in a BCS bowl. This game should be a high scoring event, as both defenses seem to stay at home every week. Colt Brennan looks to shred the Huskies secondary like Alex Brink did the weekend before, throwing for nearly 400 yards and 5 TD’s.

Only way this happens is if USC loses....

ASU has the same conference record as USC (6-2)...so if they both win they share the Pac-10 title....but USC would get the Rose Bowl bid due to the fact that they beat ASU.....
