I have begun managing a Bay Area artist you all know, and want to get them on tour. Lots of promoters are scared of rappers or the genre itself, and refuse to have these shows, wether they are racist or not I am not sure. Can anybody please tell me good clubs for rap shows in the Bay , wether they are in San Jose, Oakland, San Francisco, Richmond. It doesnt matter what exact Bay city, the more I know the better. Further up north to , like Sacramento would be good

I need to know this from people here because I am not in the Bay I am in Atlantic Canada

Thanks

mISSION ROCk in s.f, its a tight club too
umm naw they shut down hip hop shows over there like 2 years ago after all the Done Deal events.

Try club cocomo's, that's a real slept on place but has big potential and they allow hip hop shows. They did the Mims/Seff the gaffla show last week.

The Pound in SF has rap shows, Tech N9ne performed there last year. I dont think they do rap concerts at the pavillion in concert anymore after that person got shot after the Cash Money Millionares concert a few years ago

so they chose u as a manager and u have no connects or a clue what venues they can perform @? wow
I'm just talking about Northern California, maybe you don't realize it, but being from Canada I'm in a good position to make them more international, through media and concert venues up North. Furthermore, I have contacts in LA, but I'd just thought people in the Bay would wanna help, so they could see their favourite artists perform. There are lots of clubs that shy away from rap music, and that's just a fact. Don't be too quick to criticize, I'm trying to do something positive and I could go on: but I don't want to be another guy on the internet ranting and spreading negativity.
