C-THUG "I Am Arizona" album ft. Young Buck,C-Bo,Lil Flip,Mistah Fab,G.Malone,Juice..

hey there arizona hiphop fans or fans of underground albums that are suprsingly good but goes unnoticed, check out C-Thug's "I Am Arizona" album (TMG/SMC/FONTANA) that dropped last month june 23 the same day arizona native dtp member willy northpole dropped his album. this album is a much better representation of arizona, than "tha connect."
this album packs suprising solid production from local az producers(who can hang with the big name producers) that give this album a big southern sound with a lil west coast vibe to it. plenty of knock for your systems.

also what also helps this album is that it has alotta big name features such as Young Buck, Lil Flip, Lil Boosie, Dolla of konvict(rip), C-Bo, G. Malone, Juice (BWS), Willy Northpole, Mistah Fab and more...
he might not be a top notch spitter but he comes solid/decent with street, trap raps. alotta different tracks to jam to for the streets, radio, and some deep introspective cuts. of course an album like this has a couple of filler material to go with it, but still its tolerable. after soaking up this album for a couple weeks after buying it off amazon, im impressed for this indie release that seems to be slept on by peeps outside of arizona.
if im correct C-Thug is still signed to warner bros since 07 but hasnt dropped anything major yet, so this is like his debut, indie, street album release, that sounds like it could be a major label product...

rating: 3.5 outta 5. worth buying or downloading.

FLIP is still dope peeps, he can still kick a solid verse and his feature proves it.... of course that kk track may not be all that, but hey theres more bs on the radio than that..... his verse was the best on "lean 2 the left." makes me anticipate "ahead of my time" even more if he stays with solid verses like the one previously mentioned.... check it outs peeps.

Vontel "Vision of a dream"
(98/99) battlecat did some beats plus its one of the last time we'll hear from roger troutman...does anyone have his first album? i heard it was a tape only release. the track/video for "loungin" is straight up classic g-funk...
Bookie "Stressin"(99)-one of my favorite AZ albums of all time.CLASSIC!!!! 10cuts produced by battlecat. fts from: E-40, Kurupt, Kool G Rap, Lil Keke. dude shouldve blown up with this album, i made a thread on this dude earlier this month. waiting on his new album "the underdogg" to drop...
Survivalist "Retribution" (2004) beats by: Battlecat, Swizz beats, Carnival beats. ft. Styles p
Mr. Iroc "finally on the map" (95/96) classic, but damn too expensive.
Mr. Iroc "the release" (99/2000) i need a dl for this album. expsensive also.
Roca Dolla "Roc Is A Classic" (2008) double cd, formerly known as mr iroc, he's the top producer in az. lotta dope local acts, plus fts. from Stat Quo, Rampage(flipmode squad) Big Mike (rapalot, geto boys) Willy Northpole etc...

Friend of mine turned me on to some Phoenix rappers Young Ciph and On Won. I guess they have a few albums out. The One I have The Usual Suspects is pretty tight 18 songs, most of them are good. It was worthy of steady play in my car for about a month
