I really don't get into awards shows, but since BET broadcasts its Hip-Hop awards show twice a day I have caught bits and pieces of it and just finally watched the entire show. What made me even want to watch the awards show was when I watched Busta Rhymes win the "distinguished" Move-the -Crowd award. To get right to the point, Busta Rhymes basically fronted out every rapper that had hit the stage in Atlanta at the BET Hip-Hop awards with a weak, shitty, or down right pathetic stage performance at the event and in general. This issue is relevant because when you buy 90% of these rappers albums, then see them at a live performance it makes you wonder why you supported the artist in the first place. Case in point: The live performances at the BET awards show exposed why today's popular rap artists will never enjoy the longevity of the pioneers of Hip-HOP. Example #1 Birdman & Lil Wayne's performance was so amateur, I wonder how they have gotten as far as they are in Rap. They both seemed like they forgot their lyrics at times, and they never really even looked comfortable. It's like something spooked them before they hit the stage. Example #2 T.I. and his crew. T.I.' s hype man drowned his ass out during the whole performance and he just kinda did his lil pimp dance, until his homies hit the stage with some of the weakest verses I ever heard at a rap show. B.G. was on stage with'em, but he seemed outta place up there. Example #3 is Ludacris, who had an the "extremely-loud-hype-man problem", that made T.I.'s performance look like some shit from the local talent show. Example #4 is Jeezy, who came like a true ATL nigga with girls on strip poles and shit, but that nigga basically was lip synching his hook and lyrics. When you did hear his voice, it wasn't the same Jeezy voice from the album. Example # 5 Jim Jones, ha, ha ha, ha, ha. When he hit the stage, my kids was like, "damn Daddy, he looks old". I couldn't even take his shit serious after that. Baaaaalllllinnn!! I enjoyed Snoop's perfomance and The Game's show, so it wasn't all bad. But their performances had something in common, that I can appreciate. No hype-man, and no lip-synching. I just wanna end this thread by quoting Busta Rhymes. "I work hard for my money, so if I pay to see yo ass, don't waste my money or my time." I love Hip-Hop, but niggaz need to step their live performance game up. Otherwise, there'll be a new nigga next year!!!

You can pretty much say that for every rapper who performed that night. Young Jeezy, TI, GAME, etc.. all they did was walk around back and forth holding their crotch. Busta didn't aim it at Game. He's on his record on his new CD backing him up on that Doctor's Advocate song.

Busta is probably one of the most respectable cats in the game...

and Baby and Lil Wayne did not belong onstage... that shit was HORRIBLE...
and i'm not tryin to hate or talk shit on em... but when when you see em you really get the feeling that they're gay....

Jim Jones performance wasn't good either....

I thought T.I.'s performance was good, but BG did seem out of place up there...

my two cents....

http://video.dboybiz.com I think he was only talking about the game because his performance was the worst. TI is always energetic so he couldn't have been talking about him and Jeezy's strip club performance, any man would be pay to see those broads dance. Birdman and lil wayne were a bit uncomfortable, but it's because of all the sh*t talking lately about them kissing. Jim Jones and Juelz, those Harlem fags are characters they're always put on a good humorous show.
