SF LB Brandon Moore resigned to a reasonable contract today, 5 years 8 mil,
There are rumors going around that Julian Peterson will resign @ a bargained price, to me, peterson is the heart of the niner defense, hes a fucking beast, when u see him drop down and do them pushups after missing a play, u can see his desire to be the very best, Also Steelers S Chris Hope will visit and will likely be signed, if so, look out, the D will look much better from last year. However the signing of Givens seems unlikely now.

(on if there is a chance to sign Julian Peterson back)
“That’s a good question. I don’t want to necessarily say that what’s going on has heightened it, but there is the possibility we can get him back. I don’t know why, but I have a sense of encouragement because all of the other things that have happened that he might be back. That’s why I don’t want to say much. I feel that way with some of the things that are happening. I would like to have JP back.”

(on if the 49ers are pursuing Chris Hope and will he be coming in for a visit)
“Yes we are. I don’t have it set. I anticipate it in the next few days.”

(on interest in CB Charles Woodson)
“Not at this time.”

(on if safety is more of a priority than corner)
“I will look at any position. If they are the kind of guy who can help us we will bring him in. He has to be a playmaker and he has also to have some of the other attributes we are looking for. He has to have a strong work ethic and you have to weigh their positives with the negatives. I think everyone in the league would like to have a corner over safety because they are like tackles over interior lineman. However, at the same time you don’t want to chase a defensive back that may not fit what you are trying to do just because he is a corner.”

(on if he’d like to bring in a more experienced receiver)
“There is that possibility. But at the same time, we want to get quality guys. I will say this; Antonio has played in the league and proven himself. That experience is valuable. We are going to continue to improve through the draft. But if I can get an older guy who helps our younger guys on the field, we will continue to search those guys out. Joe Jurevicius was a guy we wanted. He chose to go back home to Cleveland. He went for less than we offered, but there are still more guys like that out there. But to get an older guy, just for the sake of getting an older guy, we won't do.”

God, I hope they resign Peterson. Even though he kinda went downward the past 2 years, its been cuz of injuries.

That dude doesn't give up on plays.
