SACHSE, Texas -- A 12-year-old boy faces assault charges after he allegedly spat on a student waiting at a bus stop.
Blake Slimp is accused of spitting on a neighborhood girl. Police said the incident is part of an ongoing feud between neighbors.
Eldon Oritz, who witnessed the incident, said the boy spat at the girl's feet, and the spittle might have landed on her shoe.
When NBC 5 News went to the girl's home to inquire about the charges, the family called police.
Sachse Police said they didn't want to file the charges against the boy, but the girl's mother pursued the issue and signed a citation.
Slimp's mother said a phone call could have settled any animosity without police.
If convicted, the boy's record could be affected, and he could be asked to pay as much as $500 in fines.
