Wow...100 mph on the mic, flippin it pretty fast and they lyrics are solid with substance, not just "pop pop glock rock block stock lock spock talk shock"
As I listen to this mixtape I am reminded that some very talented artists are overlooked in the bay and Boogie is indeed on of them. With a fast paced and consistently outspoken verbal ability to ride a beat..this cat definitely has what it takes to create a fulll album. With many different topic covered, Boog gives you a wide angle shot of him,his background and
life. Overall I can see Boog teaming up with other machine gun rappers including Tech 9 and G-Macc as he can carry the pace and bring the content. Boog apparently gained some recent notoriety with an appearance/mention on the tv show TMZ...something to do with a stalking song that he made.
I've listened to the album and must say it was better than expected...contained both upbeat songs, a few deep ones about life and and few ones like "My thangs" which pokes fun of the problems dealing with breakin up with a females your living with. I feel with a little bit more direction and some well made connections, Boog could step to the light and become more of a foreground figure than a backround fixture. His choice of instrumentals is well selected and fits his style and delivery.
Boogie the Mann continues to display his expanding creativity and talent with this release and if im not mistaken, this mixtape is free for download, which means it would make a good album for your ipod playlists or for when your looking for a fresh change of paced from normal bay area rap.
Support Boogie and pick up this album and give it a spin..
