83 dunks so far this year, over 20 consecutive double-doubles already, Hit his head twice (once on the backboard, once on the rim), hitting Jumpers, making great passes (tonight) and entered the Dunk Contest as a Rookie,

Man, this kid is the future of the NBA! Along with Westbrook/Durant combo, these dudes have already beat some of the top teams in the League and will only get better. I've seen this monster in person. He outjumps everyone on the court. He overexerts himself everygame. He is focused. He is a ManChild. Unbelievable.

Please, If you like the NBA... check this dudes Highlights out...(as THE BEARD would say...) RIGHT NOW!!!!

I've never understood what is so special about dunking 99% of the players in the nba can perform that. His dunk game is excellent but he should focus more on his jump shooting/ post up game a lot more. People focus too heavily on the Fanciness of a player which often overlooks the players true capabilities on both offense and defense. I'm just the type of person who doesn't care for the flashy play, but when i do i'd much rather see it in the early 90s late 80s

For the dunks his aren't much to me; Spud Webb, Dominique Wilkins, Vince Carter, and MJ were a few of the best high sky flyers ever

I agree with you in that aspect. I believe he doesnt have the confidence yet. He HAS the jumper, he just doesnt take those shots yet. Once the other players respect his J, his game is WAY more hard to defend. As far as the dunking, I disagree. He's jumping higher than Webb or Wilkins, and with more power. Not in dunk contests (yet) but in every game, multiple times. He's still a Rook, maybe thats why you havent gave him your Props. But you will.

BLAKE is straight up killin it right now...yea, dude is right, almost everybody in the NBA can dunk but I've never seen someone throw them down with such ferocity. (I'm just talking about who i've seen play, not including players from back in the day that I never saw.) I mean how many people really wanna go up with BG and try to block one of his dunks.

If he can continue refining his game and become a better all around player, he'll quickly become on of the top players in the NBA.

Slam dunk contest is a joke but not if you got someone like Griffin, I will definitely be watching.

Kevin Love > Blake Griffin, but you'll never get a Clipper fan to admit that.

Griffin is dope tho. Looking forward to watching them both continue to grow even more.

I understand this. But WATCH the games they played in/against together, not just look at the Box Score.
Trust me, I do. I saw both Clippers / Wolves games this year... 1 win each, and the two pretty much played equally well in both games.

Griffin has the flashiness and is downright breathtaking at times, but the reason I say Love is better at this point is because he has the whole package. Griffin can't shoot free throws and hasn't developed a consistent 18 footer or outside shot. Love is one of the best free throw shooters in the league, AND one of the best three-point shooters in the league. Kevin Love has developed into, literally, one of the most complete players ever and he continues to improve.

Griffin can get there, and I give him major props for coming back from the injury and beastin it up on a nightly basis. He's an amazing player and could develop into one of the greats, but he's not yet the complete player than Kevin Love is.

Indeed i've only seen a bit of BG but he must work on his perimeter game around the basket; or else he will fall victim like Dwight Howard someone is nothing but fancy dunks. Howard has no shot nor post up game he's weak from my panorama he's all show. I do not consider him a true center currently perhaps Hakeem Olajuwon should show him how the job should be performed to the fullest; he needs to absorb game from a true legend who has been in those scenarios. But Dwight is self centered doubt he'll think of that; Patrick Ewing won't help much.

Cmon now though lol Spud Webb wasn't even 6 foot of course blake leaps higher he's almost 7 foot haha. Webb was only 5-6 5-7ish. I'd much rather speculate someone who is much shorter and has to work hard and prepare himself for dunks, because it is more of a challenge for someone who is shorter to on the contrary where someone is almost 7 feet tall, when you're that tall it's a piece of cake to dunk. We just have different sophisticated views on this topic but it's good. To top it off i don't know if he fly's higher than Nique though

Blake only had 1 dunk tonight. I believe he only missed 2 FTs. I was at the game, it was sloppy. Blake is a bully, and I don't like how he's looking to get calls this early in his career... But he only had ONE DUNK tonight. 23points, 12 boards, and the Win.
