I just went to my nearest Best Buy a little while ago and noticed they got a completely new section just for Musicians. Basically a scaled down version of Guitar Center. $hit was dope. They had new keyboards layed out, like Rolands & Korgs, cables, midi controllers, headphones, studio monitors, midi interfaces, software,... Just perfect enough for the homebased studios. They even had a nice little setup with a Mac and Protools out on demo. Also a section for music lessons.

So how many of you guys knew about this already? I had no clue they just did this.

Did you get the M-Audio Axiom49? That's the controller I got. I got it awhile ago at Guitar Center though. The Axiom49 I saw at BestBuy today seemed a little crisper for some reason, like the keys felt better or something. I'm thinking they slightly fine tuned it, since I bought mine. Or I could be trippin.

Which one BOOBOO619? I'm in El Cajon. I go mostly to the one next to Parkway Plaza! Last time I went I did notice that they had a m-audio controller on the shelf. The keyboards were not pro though. Consumer/Home type of shit. Ima have to check this out! If they keep it simple in a home setup way. A lot of people will buy that shit. A lot of people don't go to guitar center. Let alone know where to buy any gear. This will bring out the last of the "closet musicians". Nice business move.

Where im at they cornered off a part of the store and u walk into this area and it has turntables and all your dj equipment needs,3 rooms for drums, guitars and other instruments, a wall of guitars...its like a mini guitar center...they also have 3 laptops set up with 3 different software programs with 3 different controllers all available to buy so its good to get a hands on before you purchase

The one in Chula Vista that runs parallel to the 54 freeway. Right next to a Walmart. Like I said, shit is dope enough for home based studios. Best Buy is becoming an electronic playground.

That sounds like the same setup I went to by my pad. I just didn't really look to see if they had turntables n shit. I did notice lighting setups though, so I'm sure they did have some.

Thats dope, I wonder if they did that to all of 'em or just specialty ones like how they have Magnolia Hi Fi's in some, but not all.
