Do u think that when a bay artist can get a Big Name artist on there record they should use that track as there single? Alot of rappers out here get someone like snoop or whoever and throw that on there album as like a gansta track or something, when the could use that big name as leverage to get on the air or a video. Do u think they dont do a more radio friendly song becuz it cost more to feat a big name artist on a single or what?

anytime an "underground" artist gets a household name on a track they should push it as their single if they're aiming for radio play etc. etc. i think they should make songs with big name artists more radio friendly cuz that's an easy way to get radioplay and get your name heard.

Im thinking that if your tight and believe in yourself you should do a whole album with no features......somebody that has hella features on their album tells us the consumer how much faith they have in themselves.......save the features for comps and mixxtapes and remixes........Most up and coming artists get their hand held in this business instead of shining on their own and doing what it takes to make it happen on their own.......they lack experience with not working as hard letting the feature sell the album cuz of name droppin power.....I aint heard a album with no features for a while...First Degree dont have a lot of features on Planet Zero and Damn that D.E. albums...and it was tight...I purchased a D.E. album and got 95% D.E.........most of the time you get a album and only hear 50 to 60 % of that artist........who cares if so and so knows this famous person and that plat person........cuz in the end it aint about who you know its all about skills.....

Not so fast, it ain't that easy...first you have to get that "big name" artist and then (unless yall hella coo) you gotta pay that bigname artist big money...so now you got that big namer, but what if he has a single out himself, what if another artist on his label has him on one of their singles ect...labels seldom allow artist that have no afiliation with their label (or labels they own and we don't know about) to use their artist for singles...so they use them for gangsta tracks and try to make the best of a redtape situation.

even if they did have the permission to use the artists verse(s) for a radio single, i'd perfer for them not to...yeah, it'll get your name out there, but you'll be under the fame of that artist...
