"When I got back to The Bay after living in the South, the game was real slow out here. Being in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and making serious record sales, it was discouraging to be back in your hometown and not have gold capabilities. I didn't feel like it was even worth being in the game. Who can go gold or platinum out here? The only artists who did were Steady Mobbin', Too Short, and Luniz. I didn't want just local sales so I had to kick back for a couple years. Then I started hearing these cats like the Federation, and I thought, damn, the Bay needs some help. Someone's got to put in work. I'm here to rebuild the bridge."
This statement can be taken way out of context...I must admit it does seem like he is saying "when I heard the Federtion, I felt the bay needed my help cuz they suck!" but maybe he ment it a different way...

If the Feds was from the town, niggaz would be quick to be on the defense...

What are you people takling about? You're the second person in this thread that took a shot at Oakland fans.. As if we don't have well-rounded opinions and only defend rappers from our city. Bavgate is garbage, I don't care where he's from. The nigga has no right to speak on the Feds as they have helped bring the Bay back to the center stage. Bavgate was a part of a group that went Gold and Platinum under Master P. Who couldn't of done that under no limit? Plus, it ain't like he's consistent. He did that in 1997.. Fuck Bavgate, and ya'll should stop taking petty shots at Oakland, I don't understand this hate for Oakland going on.. "If he was from Oakland you wouldn't say this or that". I'm from Oakland and Bavgate sucks. What is wrong with ya'll and this Oakland shit? I don't see any evidence of anyone in here being biased, what's up with these false accusations and hypothetical scenarios?

Most people (and Im not talking about the few that dont) from Oakland defend their local rappers no matter what!!! You cant actually sit there and say that its not the truth. Let me get on some "Keak aint nothin but hype"shit and I bet you, ill have a 101 niggaz wishes they could knock my block off...Not only cuz they feel he is a great rapper, but because he is from the town...period. I see it all the damn time on here. Had Keak been from somewhere else, like Sac for example, town natives would definately feel different about him ( Im not saying all, but a huge percent)...
Bav, is fukn garbage...thats just my opinion. I am all for supporting bay artist, but they gotta be worth the support.
