Damn man 20 something years is a hell of a long time to spend behind bars. What kind of plea bargain was that ? It unfortunately only stopped some of the violence in HP because fools are still getting shot up over there.

The last two defendants in a wide-ranging federal investigation that led a crackdown on the notorious Big Block gang in San Francisco have pleaded guilty in a series of drug-related shootings, authorities said Wednesday.

Douglas Stepney, 33, and Kim Ellis, 31, pleaded guilty to various gun and drug charges in U.S. District Court in San Francisco on Tuesday, acknowledging the gang's involvement in five drug-related shootings.

Stepney is expected to receive a 23-year prison sentence in March. Ellis is to be sentenced to 20 years.

Stepney, the leader of the Big Block gang, which operated in the Harbor Road area in the Bayview-Hunters Point neighborhood, admitted his role in a drive-by shooting in an attempt to kill a rival gang member in March 2001.

Stepney admitted that he and other Big Block members sold crack cocaine and that gang members and associates used violence, intimidation and armed assaults against members of rival gangs, such as the Westmob gang in San Francisco, to protect Big Block's drug turf and drug profits.

thats what tends to happen...they basically got snitched on. no matter what, someone snitched.

the way it usually happens is that some youngster snitched that is AFFILIATED wit the rival....or an og who dont wanna go back to the pen.....
