New Artist wants feedback

A new artist named Many Phases (aka Heat Seeker) has a couple of new tracks and wants to know what people think. The beat on the first and third songs were done by Dj Sham (PaperTrail).

The first song is called "I Just Look Like This" and is rapped by Robotical 5.7 (aka Many Phases), one of his rap personalities. His style is unorthodox, so don't expect your run of the mill shit. This is a real ghetto beat (typical PaperTrail shit), your computer speakers might not do it justice, but you can hear enough of his flows to give some feedback. This Robotical voice sometimes pops in and out in his songs, but this song is 5.7 the whole way. This is a demo, hasn't been mixed down yet, so the levels may be somewhat unbalanced. my favorite verse is the third.

The second song is called "Dead Presidents" and is by Anamani (aka Many Phases) who pulls licks/capers with former Presidents of the United States. Its some way out there shit, but this artist is always coming with some unique shit.

The third one is called Ridin in Da Sunshine

sounds like bone. i listened to most of the first song. wat i think is he has talent..he needs to decide wat he's going for.being versatile is great but i dont want him to go the whole bone route cuzz i think he can do better. i feel tha talent, its just RAW and wet right now..tighten it up.i'd fuck with him on the rite track and a better beat!

I agree that it sounds nothing like Bone; he wasn't harmonizing - that's just that robot shit. I admit its kinda weird, but that's just him doin his thing. He usually has some concept (Dead Presidents) that kinda sets him apart.

@cipher, you don't like that beat? just curious


Keep that feedback comin. I'mma probably print it out tomorrow night and take it to him.

I'm not exactly sure, but I think he'll probably have a song introducing each of his personalities. I've never heard him do more than a couple of bars with this one... but it always the same type of chin-up, throwin-them-thangs type of music with robotica 5.7
