I think it's exciting. They have a smaller football, field is 50 yards, can begin the play with a wide reciever in motion, field goals are like 10 feet wide, can catch the ball off the screen if someone misses a field goal or if the quarterback throws the ball off the screen, and they get smashed against the wall.

Arena Football is coo to watch. It sure isn't as gimmicky as other fringe sport knockoffs that have tried to gain popularity (the NBC television agreement helps). I think the biggest problem with Arena football moving to mainstream sports, is there is no real pop culture superstar. Meaning, the average person, sports fan or not, knows who the top stars are in Basketball, football and baseball.

I agree it's not as gimmicky as other knockoffs. The reason there are no real superstars because if there was someone really good they would jump to the NFL.

Arena football is sick, definitly something to see in person, it's kinda like hockey in that sense. I worked a Sabercats game last year, and was a utility for one of the cameramen on the field, that shit was crazy, we were right in the middle of the endzone, and had to dodge players catching touchdowns a couple times, shit was off the hook. And the saberkittens are the hottest cheerleaders I've ever seen. But go and see a game in person before you decide if it's weak or not.
