That was a good documentary on a classic fight with a controversial stoppage. It reminded me a lot of when i was a kid watching Chavez and everything he brought to the table when he was fighting in his prime.

Mildreck Taylor's a warrior too he fought his heart out hit the canvas hard in the 12th after boxing hard but taking power shots from Chavez in the 2nd half of the fight. It was kinda sad to see how his life went downhill after that fight and how in his interview from 2002 with his speech obviously impaired from brain injury saying how he's gonna still fight and he's the same fighter he was so many years ago...that kinda sucks.I feel bad for em.

Good program tho.

i couldn't agree with u more homie. i got that fight on one of my tapes at home and it's definitely one of the greatest fights i've ever seen. i could watch it a million times and never get tired of it. Chavez is a true legend but nobody should forget about Meldrick Taylor coz personally i don't think the fight should have been stopped and Taylor could have held on and won. it breaks my heart to see fighters when they come to the end of their careers but they in denial and they fight on coz nobody gonna protect them from doing serious damage to themselves. it's a damn shame and i've seen it happen far too many times. that's why i feel so strong about Gerald McClellan coz there was a fighter who gave everything to the game but when tragedy struck the game fucked him and left him and his family with nothing. he ain't the only one tho. it's sad as fuck. i love boxing so much but sometimes i hate it too
