anyone fuckin with Nio "Tha Gift"?

i picked up his album from best buy a couple weeks ago and its pretty good. he's from Richmond and the dude has talent, he's got some club songs and a bunch of lyrical songs too. i definately think its worth the money. the production is good and so is the quality.

The features include: Mistah F.A.B., E-40, Cynser, Brotha Malone, Tha Hit Men Squad and Chris Jones.

Production: Trakmatik (did most of the album), Aristotle & Young L

Taj Mahal did the video for his lead single "Superstar" and the outro of the video is for "That Go." IMO this video is one of the better independent vids out the bay right now, its up there with the Rock Jacobs vids (new frontline/big rich).

if anyone else has heard the album, what songs are ya'll feeling? right now im into "Life," "That Go," "Alterior Motives," and "Bye Mary"(even though i don't agree haha).

yea this cd has definately been in the player for the last couple weeks. its a solid album, people gotta stop sleeping.

i was wondering the same thing. im in d.c. cuz of school, so i just assumed i wouldn't hear anything about it, but was there no promotion in the bay either? his label SNF is licensed to SMC Recordings, and is being distributed by fontana, but i guess that has nothing to do with how the marketing is taken care of. anyways, check him out, definately has the potential to blow. and is he really just 18??

He is a good rapper, but passing up a free education to do so...I mean we all have to follow our dreams, but this doesn't seem like a smart move.
