Egyptian findings and watching archeologists on TV....find stuff?

I like their history...and I watched some very neat things on discovery last night about Imhotep...how he was much like how people see Jesus today.

they thought he was a god...and served/worshipped him. They are currently looking for his Tomb. Crazy how he existed 5000 years before Jesus...too.
Imhotep built the first pyramid, was a medicine man, and a high priest....

Egyptians were so ahead of their time.

Anyone else into watching this stuff?

yes, i watched all the shows discovery showed last night about that new tomb they are uncovering and how they found that little gold tomb and they thought that maybe one of tutenkahmens queens was up in there. that shit is fascinating. i sat there and fell asleep to that last night. its amazing the techniques they used in the construction of their pyramids and cities.

its crazy..

they were saying the reason the Egyptians buried King Tut with all thost statues and shit...was becuase it was a "newer" religion that his father put in place..
and when he died....they wanted to get rid of all that shit..

so they buried him with alot of it...

and they went back to the old religion and gods..
I never knew that shit.

So it was really nice to see.

i have always been fascinated with ancient egypt since i was young. Imhotep was an interesting pharoah. i think he was the one that built the step pyramid in egypt... what i found interesting about Tut is that his reign was pretty insignificant compared to alot of other pharoahs, yet he is so well known because his tomb was the first one discovered that was pretty much intact and not totally robbed or ransacked. i would love to go visit egypt and take a tour of some of the stuff...
