(nothing to do in South Dakota) went and saw the film "Ray" tonight, I'd recommend it to anybody who loves music. This is the father of soul which is the grandaddy of the rap music we all love, plus there are some great Seattle scenes (he spent his 16-25 year old years here, this is where his music career really began and took off, in the Central District clubs on E. Yesler St). Unfortunately it's also where he started using heroin.

Seattle's musical legacy ain't just that hard rock sound, it's got a proud black music legacy as well, go see this movie.

Where you at in South Dakota? I saw the movie a few hours ago, it was dope! Jamie Foxx is really coming into his own as an actor.
I'm in Sioux Falls for the weekend with a friend, saw 10 PM show at this theater with crazy fluorescent lights on the outside.

Be back up to Minneapolis early Sunday morning to get back in time for football.

I agree Jamie Foxx is really coming into his own, first he sings the hot hook for Slow Jamz now this, he's doing big things.

That is crazy especially cuz there were like 10 people at the show.

Were you the guy wearing that jersey that said "69" on it? I saw some guy with a 69 jersey and started laughing that was funny shit. I was sitting middle and middle, with the Seahawks hat on.

Funny shit and I actually have a cd with about 3 of your cuts on it that we played once we crossed the border into SD b/c I'm trying to instill some home state pride into my friend by showing him there are people (atleast one anyways) from SD who can rap.
