How is it even possible to not know what racism is? That sounds pretty retarted to tell someone they don't even know what racism is. When I hear "Kill Whitey" type raps, yeah thats racism. Bet ya 5 bucks its racism.
Anyways, I'm just saying that in my opinion, he is a little over the top. Not every single problem black people face is because of white people. A lot of the problems stem from history, which I will concede has mainly been dictated by the actions of white people. But take for example, Richmond. Tons of black people moved there to make ships during WW2. A war started by and run by white people. Thanks to the wartime economy a lot of people's grandads and dads got jobs. That was an immediate positive for black folks because of something white folks did. Now, over time all those black people living together turned into a really bad ghetto. What part of that was directly caused by white people? Not really anything. Not white people's fault.
But someone like you probably, or Askari X, would argue that it's my dads and grandads fault that the people in Richmond are in a shitty situation, which is where I say that is a little over the top. Nothing is stopping people in Richmond from graduating high school, and getting a job and getting out of the ghetto or even getting great financial aid (way better for minorities) and getting even more education and making more money. The "Kill Whitey" mentality type would argue that its somehow the white mans fault that a large majority of people in Richmond fail to do that and continue the cycle of crime that keeps the city in turmoil. Upward economic mobility is decreasing for EVERYONE in this country. The rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. Yeah, its tough to make something of your life. But its the way the system is and either deal with it and succeed or cry about it and fantasize about killing white people.

The government also pushed LSD on (predominately) white hippie youth in the 50's and 60's, you dont see white people crying about it. LSD is not addictive but still it has the power to ruin your life just like crack.
And yes, I agree, white flight seems to correlate with neighborhoods getting worse, but you know what? It is not the white people's intent to make your neighborhood worse by leaving, its just a perfectly reasonable reaction to seeing things go downhill and looking for somewhere nicer to live. Nothing to stop black people from doing the same thing after one too many drive by shootings! Blaming the poor living conditions in ghettos on people who moved out has always seemed to me like a copout. Go to school and get a fucking job and you can leave the ghetto too!
This is like a kid who is doing bad in school because he doesnt like his teachers and not taking responsibility on himself to work harder. You get dealt the hand you get, and in the case of school and life you have to make the best of it. Making excuses does not get you anywhere.
Bottom line, you, me, and everyone else who is just getting by in life and not making 6 or 7 figures a year should be on the same side. The economic reform that needs to happen in this country is not about color. It is about taking power away from special interest groups and multinational corporations in politics and looking out for the little guy.
