I got a AOL trial, one of those month long trials. cuz you can go into private chat rooms and get albums (Mp3's) in your mailbox and DL them really Easily.

Well I was really surprised what i saw on some of the peoples list of albums they'll send you. here are just a few.

NBD - Collectors Item
Mista Cane's new one
Dobad - Rapid Fire
Baller B - New one
Big Reese Loc's album
almost all the KVE albums
Nasty NAte
Nocturnal Hustlers
A few compilations ive seen advertised on here but cant remember.

They also got all the new cali shit I.E.

D-Moe
Spice 1 - Thug Diease
etc...

now it seems like that someone from this site is uploading this shit. anyone know who?

I just thought that was really interesting that these people had all these Really underground rappers. Seems like an inside job, lol.

What do the artists think about this?
you are gettin national promotino from this in a way, but you are probably losing sales as well.

Give me your thoughts

If DLed a lot of those albums, if I like them I buy them, simple as that.

Some people are like me and some aren't. A lot of the people that DL those albums probably would have never heard the cd anyway.

I guess there could easily be mixed emotions about this type of thing, but I think it is for the good.

Bootlegging helps the little guys more than it hurts them. And it doesn't really hurt the big guys as much as you think. It hurts the people who make the majority of cheese off selling albums. Record labels, distributors and retailers.

It's funny to see all the no-namers complain about bootlegging. Like they would have a platinum plaque on their wall if nobody made mp3's of their shit. Not likely there Gangsta Billy Mac. Bootlegging shouldn't be used as an excuse for why your shit ain't crackin' man....because it isn't one!

Bootlegging has also forced all these wanna-be's to sink-or-swim. People don't have to take a chance on your cd anymore, they can download it free-of-charge and hear before they buy. That means you really gotta EARN your sales and I'm all for that.

Definately buy the music you feel is worth your money, simple as that.

I've learned to use bootlegging to my advantage....it's a fucked up thang that has happend to music but can be steered the right way to help you.
No doubt! While some cats are busy being pissy & throwing temper tantrum's over mp3's/bootlegging, there are other cats who are finding ways to adapt and make it work in their favor. Those are the people who are going to make a lot of bread while the others just continue to whine & complain.
