In the movie there travelin' fom L. A. 2 Oakland...whut road are they takin'? In some scenes they're on a dirt road...other scenes they're on a single lane highway. None of the roads looked familiar. I haven't traveled from L. A. 2 Oakland (or vice versa) but I have traveled from SF 2 L. A. (and back) and didn't encounter any of the roads in the film. 4 all I know there may be a route like that. Just thought I'd ask 2 see if anyone knows and 2 see if others tripped of it like me.

Ya, you're right about roads changin'. That movie is kinda old. I bet some of the movie is filmed off of the PCH. That would make sense. On another note, did anyone notice Pac's cousin's voice in the movie soundin' a lot like Coolio ("Gangsta's Paradise")? I really only caught it at the end though (after they get 2 Oakland and his cousin is murdered, Pac's in the studio playin' a track. I know he played his tape more than once in the movie.) and I didn't even check the credits. It might not be though.

The other way would be Highway 1 (that's where the fight scene took place...before they cross the bridge). As always, they added some Hollywood in there because there is a slight difference from the movie to the actual location.

I been out there (being that I live in the Monterey area) and one of the stops that they did: The love/ kissing scene between Pac & Janet is in Carmel, Ca.

Theres no way you got to LA from the bay in 4 hrs. You must have had a fucking motorcycle with unlimited gas and never stopped.

Anyhow whenever we head south I prefer 101. It's not too much slower but there are more places to stop. I prefer coast over boring ass valley.

Highway 1 is all coast Homie alot more that 101 (I mean you see ocean all the way), but there are hella curves. As a matter of fact, it takes you out past Hearst Castle.

If some of you don't know what that is, google it!

4 hours to la, you must have ran into no traffic and went 100 mph

janet jackson made tupac take herpes tests and all that shit before she would kiss him, hahahaha
I left at 3:30 AM, i average about 93 mph all the way across the freeway, i stopped once for gas and food just before the grapevine, with the time i stopped it probably took 4 hrs and 45 minutes

i make that drive every month and a half to see a girl im still talkin to in vallejo..

the fastest ive gotten through la from the bay is 5 1/2 hours and we cut through santa clara or some shit and went eastbound on a two lane highway back onto the 5...and by in LA i mean la county limits not even really inside la, like near six flags.

its literally another hour before your actually IN la city.
if you are considering that area, six flags as LA...dont.

thats atleast two stops to my knowledge, i fill up 3 times in a car with really good gas mileage

for me from sd to the bay is usually a good 9 hours

3:30 am is a good time to leave though ill give you that, i aint ever leavin nowhere at 3:30am so you might have made that time who knows

Many of you need to remember though. The speed limit on CA I-5 is 70 MPH.

Plus it's hella straight.

I think the way to get from I-5 to highway 1 is to take CA-46 West and follow it out to the coast.
