I met San Francisco emcee A-1 at a J the S music video shoot in Manhattan not too long ago. He hit me off with this mixtape which I’d like to share with y’all. The mixtape is titled “A-One Man Army” and is fully produced by Woostaar. Peep the official description of this project below…
A-1 is back in 2010 ready to release his newest solo project, “A-One Man Army”. Consistent as a lyricist, A-1 brings acrobatic word play, hard hitting punch lines and poetic visuals to the forefront in his music. Introspective verses about his own life and the world around him from the perspective of a young, working class member of society, with a scatterbrained sort of versatility separate this tape from the others. Working alongside producer WooStaar of the Bay Area hip hop group XY Scatter, “A One Man Army” sounds like a narrative of electronically altered samples, modulated synthesizers, and live drum patterns that altogether play more like a full length album than a Mixtape.
