So got a new job that starts later this month. I've heard of people giving their two week notice to have an employer send them home on the spot. Now If I were to tell my current boss that I will be leaving and if they tell me to not bother finishing my last two weeks, will that go on record as a termination? If so should I just say that I am quitting on a particular day? Anyone that knows what's up, speak on it.

just give him/her a 2 week notice, that way they'll see that you were honest..don't burn your bridges..you might need that job again if things don't go well with the new job.

give them two weeks notice. i've only seen people being told to leave if they were going to work for a direct competitor.

and if they do tell you to leave, you still get paid for those two weeks. :)

I usually get fired from jobz so thatz why stay doing some type of hustle. But yea if I were in yoir position I would put in the 2 week notice. Even if it were a competitor I would let it be known(only if they asked). If they fire u cuz of that just look into filing a law suit against them.

I don't really know what at will means....but I'm definatley a factor in my district. The other thing I wanted to know was do I get paid out all of my vacation/sick/holiday hours that I have left?

What are the conditions of your employment. If you are an at will employee then they will more than likely term you on the spot, that way they dont have to pay you the two weeks.
