I'M GLAD THE DOUBLE ALBUM TREND IS OVER... SOMETIMES I NOTICED THAT THE MORE SONGS THAT ON A ALBUM THE MORE EXPENSIVE ALSO.... BUT I PREFER 17 OR BETTER...

IVE FOUND THAT SHORTER CDS TEND TO HAVE LESS SHITTY SONGS. MAYBE THERES JUST NO ROOM FOR BULLSHIT SONGS ON IT. AND IF YOU LOOK CLOSELY AT LETS SAY A 16 TRACK ALBUM, THERES THE INTRO, OUTRO, SKITS, INSTRUMENTALS, INTERLUDES, ALL THAT SHIT CAN MAKE IT BE ONLY LIKE 11 REAL TRACKS.

i think its better to have 12 or 14 bangin trax instead of puttin out 30 songs and only half are good the other half are mediocre just my 2cents

i dont agree with that.if dude puts out a 20 track album and you only like 10 off it,i might like the 10 you dont like.the more the better cus someones gonna like something..........

TO PRODUCE A qUALITY DOUBLE ALBUM IS NOT COST EFFECTIVE...AND THE GAME IS SO COMPETITIVE SOUND AND TALENT WISE, THERES NO ROOM FOR HALF ASS MATERIAL AND BEATZ...

I think 14 tracks is the best way to go. I did 20 tracks for my album and only 12 made it. But me and my team came to that conclusion together feel me. An album with 14 tracks and 2 bonus of up and coming artist on your label is good too. Very good for promoting there cds.

thats the problem right there.mothafuckas just knock out a gang of tracks and pick & choose for the album.mothafuckas should just record for the album.every track recorded should be done with the mind state that this is for the album,it gots to be knock.it works out both ways.your gonna save money cus you aint gonna record worthless shit.your albums gonna be longer there for the fans wil be happier........

i think anything under 14 sucks i wanna hear tons of new slumpers half these dudes only put a cd out evey year and a half u figure they could have made atleast 20 great songs

thats what everyone wants. 20 songs? i mean come on? how many albums are there that have 20 great songs? not every song can be A SLAPPER. u people complain way too much...a lot of old great albums didnt have 20 songs. look at celly cel's album...u give me 8 CLASSSIC, and i mean CLASSIC songs and im fine. i dont buy a lot of new shit anymore because im sick of hearing albums that have like 21 songs, an intro and an outro, 6 fillers, half of people burping and being hammered, and then the other half being full of fake ass mob scenes, and then like 2 good songs, but one of them being the song played out on the radio.

its up to the artist how many songs they wanna put on there...i guarantee it that theres a better chance of an album being better if there are somewhat less tracks...like, if u put a song on there u might no have liked, but thought it should be on the album, and make that in the first few songs on the album, the average person is gonna hear that and be like "why the fuck is that on the album?" and then not listen to it.

very few albums can pull it off tho, (having more songs), like "Terrain Boss" or "I give u my word."
