I lived boarded my first impressions as I listened to the album in the long thread last night so here they are..

Sounds unconventional so I'll probably like it a lot lol. Reading the wiki production credits sound like he played a roll in and/or produced quite a few of the songs so that was probably the "random shitty instrumental track thrown in the middle of the album." was about I'm guessing.

I don't think his complaint was in an audiophile way just that the really early leak was a really shitty one in general quality to anyone. Thanks though. Looking forward to checking this out in a couple hours.

Is the link @0R0 linked quality? Someone on a different site said the one that leaked early in the day was pretty poor quality and then they found a high quality one later on and it made a huge difference to their opinion on the album in a positive way.

I really liked Sunday and Burgundy and those are two of the first four before Hive so that's a good sign for me.

Nah, Kendrick is fine on his own. That's why I thought it was stupid when he let Dre and them call him the new west or whatever and mentor/overlook GKMC. Dude was better off doing himself than all that played out bullshit so those folks can still feel important.

Honestly I would rather no one respond than the dozens of lyrical missiles we are sure to get from the likes of Joell, Buddens, Joey Baddass and the such. That line wasn't a diss, or even "crowning himself" the king of NYC, if you listen to the context it was used in.

Something can still be great and be overrated, as people are putting 100xs too much on it. Kind of like Nirvana, they are a great band, they are still overrated. The verse is overrated in the sense that people are calling it "the best verse of the decade" and a "game changer" on twitter and...
