Ok so lets see if their run Defense really is bad this season or if the stats are just out of whack from a few long runs and a couple bad quarters. Giants can run.

Worse though: Seahawks star Cliff Avril headed to injured reserve, career could be in jeopardy
CBS Sports - 17 hours agoAMP

Avril suffered a freak injury in the game that led to numbness in his hands. During the first quarter, the Seahawks defensive end attempted to make a diving tackle on Colts quarterback Jacoby Brissett. In the process of making the tackle, Brissett's heel hit Avril on the chin, which caused Avril's head to snap back. The injury has led to a neck and spine issue for Avril, who hasn't played since.
A few days after the game, Carroll didn't sound optimistic about Avril's chances of returning in 2017.

Then of course on the offensive line Joeckel is out, 4-6 weeks I believe. Not sure how big of a drop off there will be to Glowinski but fuck, how much worse can the line get? Lets find out!

I know it won't happen but I really wish they would trade Jimmy Graham so they can invest in some quality lineman. Clearly the line is garbage and Graham isn't worth the money, not in this offense. He can shine some where else and Seattle can spend actual money up front.

Anyways, other than that their defense looked great and did well against the run. Their upcoming schedule sets them up to be potentially 6-2, which is fantastic all things considered.

-Texans @ home
-Redskins @ home

If they can take care of business at home, hopefully that gives their O-line plenty of time to start to gel a bit more and/or Bevell figures a way to get this offense more consistent.

The rest of the season really isn't that bad. Outside of the Eagles, every team in the NFC has at least 2 losses, so if the Seahawks can just take care of business at home they'll be in a great position to get at least some home field advantage in the playoffs.

FTR, Hawks should have scored 30+ points yesterday. That was inefficient offense in the first half. LOL @ snapping the ball 12 times in the red zone....and NADA.
One of those goal line attempts was dropped by Graham too, which is the entire reason they got him in the first place. Then he dropped that wide open pass later in the game that was on 3rd and long i think.

That dropped pass was the 12th play.

But you are correct yes....that only added fuel to the fire of "trade Graham from OL"

Damn, Wilson was ballin all game, carried the offense the entire game since their run game has been atrocious, then threw an awful pick, I mean that was terrible he was looking right at the defender the whole time no idea wtf he was thinking.

Lacy fucking sucks. 6 attempts 0 yards.
Rawls is terrible with -3 yards (dropped wide open TD)

Watson is awesome. Great QB play on both sides, fun to watch him and Wilson tear it up today.

Seahawks D is weird this season - they'll play great most of the game but keep allowing huge explosive plays. Something they used to be the best at.

Anyways, 1:50 left for Wilson to erase that INT, lets see...

That game was crazy. I would say the 2nd craziest game I have ever been to behind the Green Bay NFC Championship comeback.

I agree about the D being weird. I mean the D line was getting good pressure (I think they had 5 sacks) but it didn't stop Watson from continuing to make big plays. It was surprising to see their WRs get behind our D, I almost never see that happen during a game let a lone multiple times during the same game.

After the Texan's owners ridiculous comments about the inmates running the prison I was totally expecting the Hawks to win by 20. Plus rookie QB going against the Legion of Boom in Clink.....something like 27-7. Boy was I wrong.

Nice to see Frank Clark step up with Avril being out:

And how somehow during the week I completely missed the news that the Seahawks signed Dwight Freeny. It wasn't until I heard his name in the game. But it was nice to see him contribute already, had a sack (shared with Sheldon Richardson) and some pressures. Obviously can't expect much from a 37 year old, but he's a great pick up for the rotation and used specifically for pass rush situations (he played 18 snaps, mostly on 3rd downs, and is expected to play much more going forward but this was great considering he was playing just four days after his first practice with the Seahawks).
