So I met Jill Scott back in 2001, she was at Star Records in San Jose & my boy Adrian & his wife Kathy, who owned the joint & are still good friends of mine to this day, introduced me to her as 'local talent' & we got to choppin it up in the record store for a bit.

we waited in line for over an hour wondering why they never let the line in.
turns out there was a sewage bust in the bldg & shit was leaking out of the upstairs bathrooms.
the next show would be rescheduled for Sunday.
my sis couldn't make it on Sunday & apparently neither could anyone else because she gave the tickets to me & my homeboy & I went & there was literally maybe 20 people that showed up for the show.
dude was talking with us, & suggested we just go have a BBQ at one of our houses lol
he kept saying "fuck maaaaaan, I need to call Ice cube, is this what my career has come to!?" LMFAO!
anyhow, he asked me if I had any weed, I said yes (duh) & after the show we were gonna go outside & smoke
when everyone got out, & he was literally about to go around the corner to smoke with us, Yukmouth was outside & we got ditched before it could happen.
