let's see pryor in there with a healthy oline and with jennings at hb instead of mcfadden. I would love to see mcgloin in when the offense was beat to hell, he would have been murdered

when pryor had a pocket to throw from, he threw well from it. then the oline got busted and he had to run, mcgloin is getting much better protection.

Thing is i dont want Pryor in there. Hes good at scrambling around and making something out of nothing but as a pocket qb he is not good at all. His arm is worse then Vince Youngs.

You made that assumption off two games? Is that why you want pyror as the starter cuz he did good his first two games? He had 1 TD AND 8 INT in the last few games he was in.

Mcgloin had 4 batted passes, all in the first half: he struggled but made improvements in the second, something we do not see with Pryor, who regresses In the second half.

That int was bad, but everyone makes mistake, especially a rookie. Did u want him to go perfect this season with no ints thrown? Id rather talk about his great throws he made, especially the pass to reese with good coverage
Exactly. He isn't real tall, he's listed at like 6'1", but I doubt he's really 5'11". Drew Brees is short too, but he makes adjustments. Everybody wants this instant greatness, he's a rookie he's gonna take some time to adjust. What they need to do is stick with a QB, the constant speculation on whos starting isn't good for anything. Who knows if McGloin is the future or a long term answer, but you gotta at least let him try, and that try is more than 2 games.

I don't think its a matter of the o-line giving anyone more time, I think Pryor is struggling reading the field and doesn't have a fast release. McGloin has a real quick release, and Pryor may be faster out right, but McGloin scrambles quick and when he takes off he slides once he gets the 1st down like Gannon used to so he's not taking unnecessary hits.

Allen: McGloin has earned another start | CSN Bay Area

Allen: McGloin has earned another start "video"

OAKLAND – The Raiders won’t have a quarterback controversy this week. Head coach Dennis Allen said the Matt McGloin will start his third straight game on Thursday against the Dallas Cowboys.

Allen made that declaration in a postgame press conference following Sunday’s 23-19 loss to the Tennessee Titans at Oakland Coliseum.
[INSTANT REPLAY: Titans snatch game away from Raiders]

“I thought Matt played well,” Allen said. “He got us the touchdown we needed in the fourth quarter. We just couldn’t hold up defensively.”

McGloin put the Raiders in position to win with a 75-yard touchdown drive midway through the fourth quarter. It ended with a 27-yard touchdown pass to Marcel Reece that put the home team up 19-16 with six minutes remaining.

McGloin completed 19 of 32 passes for 260 yards, a touchdown and a first-half interception that resulted in a Titans field goal.

That was good enough to keep his job over Terrelle Pryor, who was officially demoted on Wednesday but was healthy enough to be the backup on Sunday. Pryor has battled a sprained right knee since a Nov. 3 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, which opened the door for McGloin to play last week against Houston.

McGloin capitalized on the opportunity and will carry on as the starter in the short term at least.

“It’s not really my decision,” McGloin said. “I’ll be ready when and if I’m called upon.”

Other than making avoiding pressure and making plays with his feet Pryor is not a pocket passer, once teams started defending his right side he didnt know how to adjust

At this point in time, I dont care whose the better pocket passer, and I dont care whose more athletic, I just want to fucking win.

mcgloin handled himself well today, that int. was bad, and he missed a few wide open recievers throughout the game, but he impressed me today.

One of the biggest things in my eyes that you cant see on tv, is mclovin got the play in and his guys to the line of scrimmage very quickly on every play. thats something pryor has not, and does not do well. Not 1 false start penalty today, or illegal formation or any bullshit presnap penalties

A woman fell about 45 feet after Sunday’s Oakland Raiders game, stadium officials said. A man who tried to catch her was injured along with her. Both were taken to the hospital immediately, where she is reportedly in critical condition and he is in stable condition.

Alameda County Sheriff’s Sgt. J.D. Nelson told KTVU-TV that the woman, described as being in her 20s, went to an off-limits area and leaped off the edge as people below tried to persuade her not to jump.

Pryor isnt as bad as some of you guys think. yall actin like hes not a kid who had no starting experience before this year, and like he hasnt improved at all since preseason. Pryor is a winner, and only time will tell if hes gonna succeed in the nfl or not.

let mclovin keep on keepin on and let him keep starting until he proves other wise. goal for the year now should be to finish .500 with whatever combo of players you can to get you there.

dallas on turkey day... gotta shutdown romo. gotta play aggressive defense, blitz a lot, and make our safetys and cb's work hard man to man. Last time we were in texas mclovin got the win, lets hope he does it again
