its funny how everyone hits the panic button after one shitty game...i'll admit kap looked like a backup but it was a bad day from the get go......as soon as davis went down i knew we were in trouble....im not worried its the Damn nfl on any given sunday anything could happen .these are professionals we are talking about, just look at how Indy beat some of the best teams in the Nfl and how they got destroyed by the Rams of all teams...

Nah, it's just that your qb is overrated. Without VD drawing double coverage and stretching the field, Kaep can't read defenses. The samething happened in games earlier that either VD missed or was taken out of (vs Colts and Seahwaks). Kaep is garbage without VD, you take VD out the game and it's a wrap!

It's funny how you jock another man's gay message board "catch phrase"...

Anyways...the Niners will be alright, Kaep is no more overrated than any other running QB... He has a record of 6-3 lost to 2first place teams and one 2nd place without his favorite targets Vernon and Crabtree... How is Matt Ryan doing with Julio Jones or Roddy White or how was Tom Brady doing before Gronk got healthy even what was Stafford numbers when Megatron was hurt... Should I go on you are only as good as your weapons unless your name is Aaron Rodgers or Peyton Manning... Let Jimmy Graham get hurt again and see how Drew Brees plays.... Oh wait they lost when he was hurt to...

I found myself thinking that it seemed that a lot of the teams who had success with the running QB were moving away from that.

However, when I checked the stats, the guys I was thinking of (Kaep, Russel Wilson, RGIII, Cam Newton) all had similar rushing stats compared to last year.

But it sure feels like none of those guys are running even half as much as they did last year or 2 years ago in Cam's case. :ermm:

Passing game was just shiit yesterday plain and simple. Kaep hasn't been the same player this year. 49er got a good record and won big but yesterday against a true test it was needed.

Gore played his tail off along with the d after the game some of the d mentioned our goal is to let up 17 and helped the offense.

The offense let the d down big time yesterday! No panic buttons to late in the season for that. Next week @ NO.

I am chalking this all up to play calling, Harbaugh wants to play football just how Stanford smacked down Oregon, the problem is when you come up against another great defense the game is gonna look like it did yesterday and we ended up loosing.

Frank Gore continues to be the rock of this team, finished with 5+ yards a carry, fuckin sav

It will be very interesting to see the play calling next week, the Saints are gonna score so is Harbaugh gonna open up the play calling or are we gonna see the same ole ish

what do u mean by overrated though? i mean dude is still damn near a rookie and has barely started 1 full season ......of course hes not gonna have all the nuances of being an NFL QB down yet, but he's shown he has the ability. anybody who thought he was automatically gonna become the greatest qb ever right away dont know shit about football. Just look at Tom Brady's shitty numbers when he had all his receivers hurt at the beginning of the year, and thats Tom Brady...

Kap is still young he just turned 26. He has a lot of learning to do. He doesn't have a full season under his belt yet but is playing like he does and people hold him to high standers and forget he is still learning. Kap is going to be a great player just wait for him to get the wheels rolling. plus a full WR core back and healthy. Tony your input is invalid jumping ships all times. Stick to one team Win, Lose or tie I am a 49ers till the end.

49ers demonstrate confidence in James, Wright | CSN Bay Area

Veteran cornerback Eric Wright and LaMichael James were the big winners on Tuesday.

Neither Wright nor James’ names appeared on the 49ers’ transaction wire, but the organization made dramatic roster moves that demonstrated their confidence in both players.

The 49ers waived cornerback Perrish Cox and wide receiver Kyle Williams on Tuesday while announcing the return of linebacker Nick Moody to the 53-man roster.

“Decisions like these are always difficult, especially at this time of year,” 49ers general manager Trent Baalke said. “Kyle and Perrish have represented the 49ers organization very well, both on and off the field. We appreciate their dedication and contributions and wish them all the best.”

James, a second-round pick in the 2012 draft, is now clearly the 49ers’ top return man. And Wright is climbing up the depth chart at cornerback behind Carlos Rogers, Tarell Brown and Tramaine Brock.

Williams handled the punt-return duties for most of the season before James made his NFL debut in that role on Sunday in a 10-9 loss to the Carolina Panthers. Cox was the only other player on the roster with NFL experience handling punts.

Cox also served the past two seasons as the 49ers’ fourth cornerback, backup slot cover man and dime back. Wright, a six-year veteran who was activated last week off the non-football illness list, will now handle that role.

The 49ers have one open roster spot remaining. The club could activate tight end Derek Carrier off the practice squad, depending on whether tight ends Vernon Davis (concussion) and Garrett Celek (hamstring) will be available for Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints.

Moody returns to the active roster after sustaining a broken right hand in the season opener against the Green Bay Packers while playing special teams. Moody was placed on injured reserve with a designation to return. He began practicing Oct. 23 when the 49ers were in London, and Tuesday was the deadline for the 49ers to move him to the 53-man roster.
