I wouldnt do it. I was in a very similar situation and did it. And regretted it ever since. Her family is like my second family and things are just now getting back to normal and this happened like 7 years ago.

among the 1,107 islands that make up the philippine archipelago, most of those that were hit by the typhoon were among the central region of the philippines...i wanna say almost all of my family that still live there live in the northern island of luzon

i was waiting for my bitch ass sister to hit me up asking for money to help cope with the typhoon damages, knowing damn well the typhoon didn't affect her city at all
