I wanna join a rock / blues / jazz cover band & sing other peoples shit. Like everything from Steely Dan to Amy Winehouse, Santana, Bob Marley.... all the shit I like to listen to.

everyone I know sucks at instruments, & I aint even picked up my guitar in a minute.

@ing a bunch of folks who's opinion I value... anyone got any suggestions on where to start looking?

start on your own and add pieces. post on craigslist and other message boards and make fliers looking for people who wanna have jam sessions and build it that way. you'll find other people might be looking for the same things but might not wanna commit to anything, but consistent jam sessions will not only give you practice playing with others but also show you others who are more serious about getting together and playing.

I play the drum machine moderately decently, I'm rusty on the turntables, not quite alright on the keys, pretty bad on the bass and horrible on guitar. where do I sign up?
